I'm the person who comes in when something is messy, complicated, or stuck, and I make it make sense. Not just the interface. The workflows underneath it, the data models, and the handoffs where the front end and the back end actually have to talk to each other.
The through-line
Regulated, high-stakes, and shipped
Most of my career has been spent where the stakes are real and the rules are strict. Investment banking at CIBC. Government service design for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and the Government of Alberta. Financial services at Aviso Wealth. Platforms with dense stakeholder maps, compliance constraints, audit trails, and a working product at the end.
The instinct is the same every time: think in systems. How do the product, the platform, the APIs, the data models, and the business processes connect? What happens upstream and downstream from the thing we're designing? I build the experience architecture that everything else hangs on.

Lead Platform Architect & Developer
Two platforms for the Native Communications Society of the NWT. CIRCLE, a living library of 8 northern dialects across 30 communities, with consent-gated audio, field recording on an iPad, and dialect keyboards. SPARK, language games for classrooms with child-safe QR sign-in and a Teacher Portal, no child accounts. Both live since September 2026, hosted in Canada. NCS and its speakers own the language and cultural content.

Condo Dispute Resolution Platform
UI design for a multi-party web app that moves formal disputes through structured legal workflows. Three interconnected user types, each with their own experience, shipped on a hard fiscal deadline.

1,800 registered users
Took a Health Savings Account mobile app from pitch deck to working MVP on open protocols: data models, API workflows, and a step counter inside a cash and bitcoin banking app. Handed off to a dev team in Berlin. 1,800 people joined step challenges and were paid out in Bitcoin SATs.
AVISO WEALTH2023 – 2024 · Qtrade Mobile
Qtrade v1.0 → v2.0
Took a disjointed set of screens and turned it into a consolidated, user-centered trading experience across web and mobile. Accessible, tested, and production-ready. App-store ratings rose from 2 to 3.8 on Google Play and from 2.5 to 3.8 on Apple after the redesign.
CIBC2014 – 2023 · Digital / Business / Investment
A decade across the bank
Part of the UX leadership team brought together in 2017 for the redesign of CIBC.com onto an Adobe AEM design system, bringing it into a responsive, library-based templated design system still in use today; UX lead on multiple banking product workflows including small-business onboarding, enabling multiple signatories in the online-only account-opening process, no branch visit; redesigned a suite of nine investment calculators as one interconnected service.

Paper to digital, in the field
Migrated a paper-based roadside vehicle-inspection system to a modular app with full chain-of-custody data. Ran Google Ventures design sprints that cut requirements-gathering from months to three weeks.

I forked an archived signer and rebuilt it into a four-platform suite in five days with agentic AI: Chrome, Firefox, Safari on Mac and iPhone, and Android. A bilingual AI voice platform that phones and texts a small business's clients to confirm, reschedule, and fill cancellations. I built it end to end: a self-hosted real-time voice engine at about 215 ms, grounding in the business's live calendar, and a second model that reviews every call.
